 Walk in Interview - DOCTORS

SOUTH CENTRAL RAILWAY desires to engage Full-time Medical Practitioners on Contract basis for a duration of one year in the following places :-

No. of Vacancies :

 1) Specialists: 3 (Three) (Breakup SC-1, ST-nil,OBC-nil & UR-2)

 Andhra Pradesh area: Railway Hospital/Lalaguda-1(General Physician),Guntakal–1(General Physician),Railway  Hospital / Vijayawada-1(General Physician)

2) GENERAL DUTY DOCTORS: 09 (Nine) (Break up- SC-2,ST-2,OBC-1, UR-4)

Andhra Pradesh Area: Rajamundry-1,Gooty-1, Dhone-1, Pakala-1,Ramagundam-1,Badrachalam Road-1,Donakonda-1,Nadikudi-1,Mehaboob Nagar-1.

N.B: The place of vacancies are liable to change as per administrative needs

Date, Time and Venue of Walk-in-interview: The walk-in-interviews will be conducted at three places viz., Secunderabad, Vijayawada and Guntakal as per the schedule below:

         Specialists:

        General Duty Doctors

Eligibility/Qualifications :

 Specialist doctors: The Candidate should be Post Graduate in the respective specialities and registered with Indian Medical Council with not less than 3 years experience of clinical work in that speciality after post-graduation.

General Duty Doctors:The Candidate should be M.B.B.S and should be in possession of a valid Registration Certificate of any of the State Medical Council of India after completion of one year compulsory rotatory internship.                                                                                                  

Remuneration: Rs.27,100/-per month for specialists and Rs.21,900/- per month for General Duty Doctors fixed. If Govt. accommodation is provided, an amount equivalent to the sum of House Rent Allowance (Rs.3046/- for specialists and Rs.2437/- for General duty doctors) and license fee of the accommodation so provided will be deducted.

Age: Should not have completed more than 50 years as on 01-09-2008. However age relaxation is admissible for 5 years to SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

The engagement of Doctors would be on Full Time Contract basis for a period of One year or till regularly selected Assistant Divisional Medical Officers are available, which ever is earlier. Further the services of these Doctors are also terminable before the expiry of One year by either side after giving one month’s notice or on payment of one month honorarium in lieu of the same. The services rendered as contract doctors is a stop gap arrangement and will not have any bearing in respect of consideration of their period of service in case of regular selection through UPSC. It will also not confer any right for regularisation or absorption. No private practice is allowed.

The contract Doctors shall not be entitled for Railway quarter etc. as a matter of right. However, if available, they will be provided accommodation. The detailed instructions with regard to their duties while on contract with Railways shall be given to them in the event of their selection along with the offer of engagement. If selected, the contract doctor can be posted or liable to be transferred to anywhere on S.C.Rly. as per administrative need.

The eligible and willing candidates should report to Dy.CMD/TA, CMD’s office, Ground floor, Rail Nilayam or Chief Medical Superintendent, Railway Hospital Vijayawada or Chief Medical Superintendent, Railway Hospital Guntakal, as the case may be on the date of Walk-in-interview at respective places alongwith application form in the format appended duly enclosing necessary attested copies of the certificates/testimonials. Two sets of attested copies of SSC/HSC certificate, MBBS Certificate, Diploma and Post-Graduation Certificate, Caste Certificate, Registration Certificate with appropriate Medical Council need to be submitted.  The attestation should be taken from any of the Gazetted Officers of Central or State Government.  Original certificates of the same should be produced for verification at the time of interview which is a must. Reserved candidates should bring the latest Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed proforma.  The application along with attested copies of the aforesaid certificates may also be forwarded to The General Manager (P), IV^th Floor, Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad on or before 17.11.2008 as an advance copy.  Doctors while applying should also indicate past service, if any, including the period of contract service put in by them on Indian Railways.  Serving candidates should bring an 'NOC' from their current employer.  No other intimation will be given separately for Walk-in-interview.

No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates attending the Interview.
